If you wish to leave your property, you must give us written notice to end your tenancy.
Your tenancy agreement will confirm how much notice you need to provide. This is usually either:
- Four weeks’ notice ending on a Monday, or
- One calendar month’s notice
What happens next?
Once we receive your notice, we will confirm your tenancy end date by email. Please note that we do not confirm notices by phone or post.
We will also arrange a convenient time to inspect the condition of the property before you move out.
Before leaving, you must:
- Remove all personal belongings, including items in lofts, sheds and gardens
- Leave the property clean and tidy
- Return all sets of keys to us by the agreed tenancy end date
You can find more information in the Leaving Your Home section.
If you are unable to move out or return the keys by the agreed date, please contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to agree a later tenancy end date.
Please note that rent remains payable until your tenancy officially ends and all keys have been returned. Additional rent charges may apply if your notice period is extended or keys are returned late.
